Diarmuid who was bred by Lindy Donato in Queensland, Australia has become our buddy and our constant companion. We first met Diarmuid when Liz McKinney, his owner, brought he and four others to a show near our house. She needed an extra hand or two to help her show and so Blair and I went to help her. She handed me little Diarmuid and the rest, as they say, is history. This boy is what convinced us that the FCI (Jack) Russell Terrier was the breed for us.

After showing him over 3 weekends and in 17 shows, Liz recognized just how much Diarmuid was bonded to my husband and how much he enjoyed showing for me. So she has graciously allowed him to live here with us, to be our beloved house dog and companion, and for me to show. He has fit into our home perfectly and with our 16 year old shortie, Mouse, who has always held herself aloof from our Parsons. Mouse says we have finally gotten the right breed for her!

We are excited to have Diarmuid here with us. If you are lucky, once in a lifetime, you will form a bond as tight as that little white dog has formed with us. His superb breed type is unmistakable to everyone who sees him. In the show ring he has that 'on his toes' attitude, never puts a foot down wrong and begs the judge to pick him. In just a few short months he attained his Grand Championship, a Best In Multi-Breed Show and multiple Reserve Best in Multi-Breed Show awards. With 15 Australian Champions in only 4 generations of his pedigree, there can be no doubt that Diarmuid is following in the footprints of his many distinguished forefathers.

A heartfelt 'Thank You' goes to Lindy Donato, the breeder of Gr. Ch. Jacklands Diarmuid, for allowing him to live here in the U.S. and also to Liz McKinney of Falling Branch Kennels for entrusting us with this sweet boy.
